FML STUPID UPGRADES!

I hate the fact that you can go out and buy a brand new laptop computer one year and then by the next a new system will be made, all the programs will be produced to only work with the "newer" ones, and your laptop is already pretty much absolete. FML D: !!!

Really, I wouldn't know a thing about my own life (and hair) if it wasn't for you...

So I was just sitting around with my grandmother and cousin today... happened to take a look at my hair and realized I had a few split ends and thought, "I need a haircut." Then I picked a few split ends off of my hair.

"I hate it when people do that," my grandma says, "your (aunt's name) does it all the time."

"Why does it bother you?"

"I don't know."

Cousin who thinks she's the expert on everything there is to be an expert on says, "You know that that just makes the split ends worse right? I haven't had split ends in years. Ever since (her daughter) I haven't had to straighten my hair, and I don't blow dry it, I just put moose in it and then that's all," while looking at me the whole time.

I'm thinking. "Well dear god, it's not like my hair is full of split ends but thanks for your advice that I never asked for." But I simply said. "Well I have to straighten my hair because it does wave and look bad if I don't so I'm not going to stop and I'll just have to deal with the split ends."

Then somehow the conversation gets onto hair types. So I'm tired of talking about it and don't want to get involved.

"Yeah you know after you reach a certain age you're only supposed to wash your hair about three times a week?" Says the cousin.

"Yeah I do that or else my hair gets dry," says my grandma.

"Yeah I wash my hair about every other day, because you don't want to wash out your natural oils," says cousin.

"Same here," I finally decide not to be left out of the conversation. "But I have naturally oily hair so sometimes I have to wash it before I have somewhere important to go."

"You know touching and brushing the roots of your hair makes it more oily?" My cousin says.

"Yeah that's what (insert my name) does," my grandma says.

WHAT THE HELL! Okay, okay, I get it.... Does my hair look like crap or something? Did I insult you anyway? Do you get off by insulting my hygiene and overall personal care knowledge? Do you run your fingers through my hair in the morning to see how oily it REALLY is after I sleep on it?... I really don't think you do. But thanks for your concern by telling me the things I obviously do but never knew myself that I did. I'm so glad I have you two around to tell me about myself. Really. I don't know where I'd be without you...

Song of the Day: "Video Killed the Radio Star"

My friend gave me one of his CD mixes and it has this song on it. I've been listening to it like crazy. Kind of coincides with how I've been feeling today. Even though this song came out in 1979, it still has that oldies vibe to it. Like how video killed the radio star, television and video also killed the drive-in. R.I.P. My should be childhood memories. Song of the day is "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles.

I Want to Go to a Drive-In Movie

Really looking for something good to watch, but can't really think of anything. I just finished watching this little show about drive-in movies and the 50's and 60's on TV and it has left me feeling a little disappointed. How I wish I was a teenager during those years, when going to watch a movie would only cost one dollar instead of ten. And things just seemed so much more colorful and bright, unique, and cheerful. Present day businesses are so ridiculous and stingy and only care about profit versus pleasing their customers.. It's a shame that most drive-ins have long since been closed down. But I guess everyone is just trying to keep up with the times and technology. Really, I don't see any reason for something as good as that to be considered "out of date." Now I want to go watch some greaser film or some old surfer movie like "Gidget." Sigh...

Know it's been a while since my last update on my blog, though no one's really reading it anyways, and that is all I have to update it with, oh well.

Song of the Day: "Sunglasses At Night"

This song is still stuck in my head darn it. If you're wondering why, see my "The Most Awesome Fireworks Show Ever!" post. Plus I swear it played about five times on our way back from Cocoa Beach. Now I really want a pair of cool shades. Anyways, today's Song of the Day is "Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Hart.

... Ugh Diets

Back from a lazy vacation week. I took a couple of pictures, but haven't yet been able to upload them due to my computer being a jerk... Most of them aren't of me anyways, because I suck at doing those "hold the camera in front of your face while striking some kind of pose then take the picture and hope that you were actually in it" kind of photos. Anyways, going to the beach is really a drain man... And kind of depressing. I think I'm going to go on a diet. Not that I'm humongously huge and want to lose weight now, but I do need to exercise more, eat better, whatever. I don't know why people have gotten it into their minds that the word diet in general is bad. Really everyone needs a good diet of some kind. Though healthy produce from stores will suck the money right out of your wallet. And diets just seem inconvenient to me... And it's summer now and way too hot to exercise during the day in this Georgia weather but ugh, I hate waking up early, especially to do something productive like running... or any other kind of moving.

But I feel really guilty now since I just finished off a bag of potato chips (chill, it was already almost empty because someone else ate the bulk of the bag but still...). Sigh, but it was yummy and I'm all out of carrots and celery and it's late and it's not like I was going to go out to buy some. What can ya do :P? Don't answer that. That was a rhetorical question if you didn't know. I'm just a bag full of sarcastic, lovable fluff today. Feeling a little extra on the fluff though.
